Lowville Academy Central School District, located in Upstate NY, recently completed construction of a state of the art multi-use outdoor athletic complex. The project included a multi-purpose synthetic infill turf field to accommodate Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Baseball and Softball, in addition to multiple outdoor courts for Tennis and Basketball. Due to the size, complexity, and diversity of the project, the client and project site designer were faced with an abnormally wide range of sports construction equipment needs to adequately outfit the site and to successfully complete the project. As such, the project site designer, Appel-Osborne Landscape Architecture located in Syracuse, NY, was able to utilize all facets of Sportsfield Specialties, Inc.’s design and manufacturing capabilities to help overcome the associated challenges and requirements of the project.

In doing so, Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. proved to be a complete one stop resource for the client, project designer, and respective site contractor (Adhan Piping Co. Inc. located in Cortland, NY) by providing signature sports construction equipment products, custom modular products via Sportsfield’s Modular Division, and custom sports padding products/accessories via Sportsfield’s sister company, Promats Athletics. One of SSI’s longstanding partners, ACO Polymer Products, got in on the action as well by providing one of their industry leading commercial trench drain products, K100S, which spanned the entire perimeter of the site. The end result left Lowville Academy with one of the finest multi-purpose outdoor athletic venues in the region, complete with the highest quality sports equipment amenities found in the industry today.
