Track & field should always be ready for use by the athletes during or immediately after a rain. Standing water on a running track can also cause deterioration of the track surface. Therefore, choosing the right drainage system for a running track is very important in the short and in the long term.

Slot Channels LW 110

ACO SPORT® Slot channels LW 110 are the preferred choice for drainage of curved running tracks in multipurpose sport facilities, where major events of every type take place and a smooth transition from running track to sports field is required.

By installing slot channels, where synthetic surfaces are present on both sides of the drain (i.e. high jump and D areas), the complete use of these areas for all participants is ensured and is not interrupted by a solid stationary curb.

The channels are made of high strength polymer concrete. This material is extremely durable and superior in strength when compared to portland cement concrete. Polymer concrete is nonabsorbent and resistant to freeze -thaw cycles.

Catch Basin LW 110

The ACO SPORT® catch basin LW 100 with galvanized bucket serve as a collection point of floating debris and can be installed after or between the channels.

The LW 100 catch basins feature knockouts for 4” and 6” PVC underground pipe connections.
